Under the smoke of Amsterdam there is a unique area where farmers and meadow birds still live together: Amstelland. Meadow birds are slowly disappearing in the Netherlands. Thanks to the efforts of many farmers, you can still hear the black-tailed godwit, lapwing and redshank in Amstelland. That does not happen without effort. The water levels need to be high and de Boeren van Amstel only mow the land after the birds breeding season is complete. Creative Director Ward Graumans from befriended Amsterdam based agency Dawn has asked us to help create the brandmark, typography standards for their identity and packaging.
